The LOFTT Studio, located above Drink! Bistro & Lounge in Woodbrook, was the venue for the first PrideTT LGTBQ+ art exhibition and cocktail reception, last Monday evening. The event was hosted by PrideTT president Rudolph Hanamji, was attended by several artists and people involved in the entertainment industry, and featured the works of a number of our prominent artists, including pieces by the late Wayne Berkeley, Stuart Hahn, Amanda McIntyre, Stacy Well and Wayde Ramnarine.
A highlight on the evening was a panel discussion on LGBTQ+ Art and Artists by T&T Art Society president Peter Sheppard, Adele Todd and Anthony Medina. Throughout the exhibition, a silent auction of one of Berkeley’s Carnival dolls was held.
Among the guests in attendance were Sundiata, Jackie Hinkson, Dr Roger Henry, Margaret Sheppard, Abigall Hadeed, Paula Obe, Brandy Rodriguez, and Candace Chow. Catering was done by Hott Shoppe.
The exhibition runs until July 12.
