Of its three editions staged, last Saturday’s North Coast Jazz, staged at Solomon Hochoy Grounds. Blanchisseuse, was the most impressive thus far.
Produced under the theme Born Here, Played Here, the event showcased not only some of the best musical talent in the land but also the best this idyllic North Coast community has to offer in terms of food, arts and crafts and hospitality.
North Coast Jazz was attended by a large audience of music lovers and seen enjoying the more than seven hours of entertainment were Community Development, Culture and the Arts Minister Dr Nyan Gadsby-Dolly. Agriculture Minister Clarence Rambharat, Minister Allyson West, Chinese ambassador Song Yumin, Vasant and Avinda Bharath, Justice Malcolm Holdip, Paula Kumarsingh, Janelle Penny Commissioning-Chow, Harry Ragoonath, Lucinda Cardinez, Trevor and Wendy Paul, Candice Campbell, Keith Toby, Keith Subero, Dr Rudy Ottley. Mavis John, Charmaine Forde and Claudia Pegus.
Ensuring that everyone had an enjoyable time were show host Whitney Husbands, and a hard-working North Coast Jazz committee that included Louis Lee Sing, John Gill and Margaret Gittens, and Blanchisseuse Community Council secretary Petra Lee Quay.
